All the leaked specs of Samsung’s new generation Galaxy Fold along with the price leak
Samsung will host its new unpacked event in the next month and Samsung plans to release its upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 in the unpacked event that will be held in Paris, France. But before the event, smarprix shared exclusive leaks of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 specs, where there are not so many major updates present in the Galaxy Z Fold 6 from its previous generation. All the leaks for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 confirmed that there would not be so many upgrades present, but the full specs leaked by the smarprix make us more confident about this. Though it is not sure from where smartprix got these specs, based on all other leaks, it can be confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 specs will be the same as the specs leaked by smartprix.
According to the leaked specs, the chipset will be the main upgrade of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 hardware section. It will powered by a brand new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, whereas its predecessor is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The other major 2 differences will be in the weight and dimension section. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be nearly 239g in weight compared to the 253g of Galaxy Z Fold 5. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be slightly slimmer than its previous generation, whereas it will be 153.5 x 68.1 x 12.1mm when folded and 153.5 x 132.6 x 5.6mm when unfolded, compared to the 154.9 x 67.1 x 13.4mm and 154.9 x 129.9 x 6.1mm dimensions of the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
Except for the brand-new chipset and the difference in the weight and dimensions of the phone, there will be no difference in the Galaxy Z Fold 6 from its previous generation as per the leaked specs.
Similarity with its predecessor
The main screen of the display will be almost the same for both Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Fold 5, 7.6 inches and 2160×1856 pixels and the secondary screen will be only 0.1 inches larger at 6.3 inches and 2376×986 pixels. The display technology will be the same, both screens of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be Dynamic AMOLED 2X Displays with a 120Hz refresh rate that is the same as the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
In the camera section, there will be a triple camera section like the Galaxy Z Fold 5. The same camera of Galaxy Z Fold 5 with a 50MP F/1.8 main camera, 12 MP F/2.2 ultra-wide, and 10MP f/2.4 telephoto will be used in the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The zooming capability of the telephoto camera will be also the same as before, with 3.0x optical zoom.
In the Battery section, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will use a 4400 mAh battery which is the same as the Galaxy Z Fold 5. But it can be assumed that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will provide a better battery backup compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 5, as the new generation chipset is used here.
The memory and storage specs are almost the same as the previous generation, 12GB RAM with the storage capability of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variant.
Price
Though almost the same specs will be used in the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the price of this year’s phone will be 100$ higher than last year’s variant, as per the recent Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 price leak. It can be assumed that the higher price point can be a negative point for the selling of Galaxy Z Fold 6, as almost the same specs are used here compared to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 5. Besides, the outlook of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be the almost same, with just a more angular shape in the corner and a smaller hinge, as per the leaker @UniverseIce.
